Welcome to
THE DANCEWORKS

Based in Eccles, Greater Manchester, The Danceworks offers a wide range of classes covering all aspects of dance, theatre and the performing arts.

Whether your child wants to learn ballet or tap, commercial or singing, we offer a variety of classes and genres suitable for children from age 2 upwards, welcoming dancers of all abilities — from those who simply love to dance for fun to those with ambitions to pursue a professional career.

For students wishing to progress through examinations, we offer classes in RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern, with singing examinations also being introduced. Students can progress through the grades and into vocational level training. Alongside our exam classes, we offer a wide range of non-exam subjects including jazz, contemporary, commercial, acro, gymnastics, singing and piano.

Our acro programme gives students the opportunity to develop strength, flexibility, balance and acrobatic skills alongside their dance training, with classes available for a range of ages and abilities.

We also offer adult classes, providing a friendly and welcoming environment for adults who want to dance — whether returning to a previous passion, learning something new or simply enjoying a fun and sociable way to keep active.

For dancers looking for additional training and performance opportunities, we also offer an elite programme. Our competition teams regularly compete at both regional and national level, with students achieving significant success at prestigious events including the All England Dance Competition, where we have celebrated National Champions, as well as UK Young Dancer finalists in both Theatre and Classical genres.

Our dancers have also represented England at the Dance World Cup, competing internationally and achieving multiple medals over the years. Most recently, we were incredibly proud to return home with World Champions among our Danceworks students.

Many of our students go on to continue their training professionally at some of the UK’s leading performing arts colleges and institutions, including GSA, Urdang, Laine Theatre Arts, Italia Conti, Performers College, Shockout and Bird College, amongst others.

Former Danceworks students have gone on to enjoy exciting professional careers across the West End, UK and international tours and the cruise industry. Recent credits include Mamma Mia! in the West End, Matilda International Tour, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie UK Tour, The Rocky Horror Show UK Tour, SIX the Musical UK Tour, as well as contracts with Royal Caribbean, AIDA Cruises, Disney Cruise Line and Celebrity Cruises.

We are equally proud of the students who take their love of dance into teaching, passing on their knowledge, experience and passion to the next generation of dancers.

Above all, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, professional training in a fun, nurturing and caring environment. Whether a student dreams of a career on stage, wants to work towards examinations and competitions, or simply wants to enjoy dancing, build confidence and make friends, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn, develop and become the very best they can be.
